Senior Director role leading general scientific strategy for pathology diagnostics within oncology at AstraZeneca. Responsible for developing and executing initiatives in digital and computational pathology, biomarker adoption, clinical evidence generation, and medical education to support cancer diagnostic solutions worldwide.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute global scientific strategy for pathologic diagnosis and digital pathology platforms
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners to coordinate oncology diagnostic activities and implement medical strategy
- Lead scientific advisory boards and represent AstraZeneca at major scientific congresses and forums
- Support clinical evidence generation and medical education for laboratory community adoption




- Drive real-world data generation using digital and computational pathology analytics

Requirements
- MD, DO, or PhD degree
- 5+ years medical affairs, diagnostics, biopharmaceutical, or academic experience
- Exposure to digital and/or computational pathology
- MD with pathology residency and clinical or molecular subspecialty fellowship preferred
- Experience in companion diagnostic development using digital and computational pathology
- Cross-functional team collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills
- Knowledge of regulatory frameworks, GCP, and pharmaceutical product development
