An international manufacturing company is looking for a Demand & Inventory Planner to lead demand forecasting and inventory planning across a complex product portfolio of more than 5,000 active finished product SKUs.
You will play a key role in connecting commercial demand with inventory, production and purchasing plans.
The position involves working with intermittent demand, predominantly make-to-order products, varied supplier lead times and a large number of components and raw materials.
What will you do? Demand planning * Develop and maintain SKU-level demand forecasts using historical data, trends, seasonality and product life cycle information. * Work with Sales and other teams to build and assess alternative demand scenarios, including customer plans and programmes. * Monitor forecast accuracy and use the results to improve planning decisions. * Define how customer orders and plans consume the forecast.
Inventory planning * Classify the product portfolio and help define target service levels with Sales and Purchasing. * Set inventory planning parameters, including safety stock, reorder points and maximum stock levels. * Build medium and long-term inventory projections and assess risks such as obsolescence or excess stock. * Work with Finance to balance product availability and inventory investment.
You will also contribute to production and purchasing planning, reporting, data quality and the company’s S&OP; processes.
The role works closely with Sales, Customer Service, Production, Purchasing, Finance and IT/Data teams.
What are we looking for? * A degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Economics, Mathematics or a related field.
Further training in Supply Chain or Data Analytics is an advantage. * Around 3–5 years of experience in demand and inventory planning, ideally in a manufacturing environment. * Experience developing or improving demand and inventory planning processes and managing a large, complex SKU portfolio. * Knowledge of statistical forecasting methods, inventory control and end-to-end supply chain planning. * Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP and planning tools.
Knowledge of Power BI, Tableau or AI applications in forecasting is an advantage. * Strong analytical skills, sound judgement and the ability to work with stakeholders across different functions.
What do we offer? A permanent position with a broad view of the supply chain and the opportunity to shape planning processes in an international industrial environment. #J-18808-Ljbffr
