Your Mission: This role is key to supporting Iberostar’s international payroll transformation during the deployment and business adoption of the Workday HCM platform. As an individual contributor, you will drive general payroll process improvements, business readiness, and cross-functional HR transition projects. With a strong focus on functional payroll maps, process harmonization, and global mobility advisory, this position plays a critical role in driving digitization, operational excellence, and new ways of working across our international geographies.

Job location: Palma de Mallorca headquarters.

Possibility of remaining based in Spain, working in a hybrid model that includes monthly trips to the headquarters.

✔️ What will your day-to-day work be like? Reporting to the Global HR OPs & Mobility Manager, your main responsabilities will be:

- Business Transformation & Deployment:



Act as the key functional HR expert for global payroll maps as well as Time & Attendance and Absence contexts during and after the Workday rollout.
- Process Harmonization: Partner with regional HR Operations teams to understand local policies, translate business needs into functional requirements, and support the functional validation of Workday payroll interfaces (including Payroll Backbone Reports - PBRs).
- Functional Testing & UAT: Define business test cases in alignment with implementation partners. Lead and coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) from the HR/Payroll side to ensure data accuracy before system upgrades or rollouts.
- Post-Implementation & Regional Support: Provide functional ongoing support to regional HR teams post-go-live, prioritizing the resolution of operational payroll processes and ensuring smooth business continuity.
- Project & Transition Management: Actively participate in the design of global payroll process maps, build business cases for operational improvements, and support local payroll vendor transition projects where needed.
- Global Mobility Functional Advisory: Act as a functional consultant for regional HR teams and HR Business Partners on global mobility queries; without any operational case management.
- Knowledge Management & Upskilling: Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), global HR operational policies, and training materials. Co-create and maintain a global HR Operations knowledge base to empower regional teams.

The successful candidate for this position brings excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact at various levels; Strong problem-solving and analytical skills; Is able to think strategically and tactically to deliver practical solutions with a can do attitude and service mind-set for people delivery in the hospitality industry

- Studies:

University Degree within business administration or similar.
- Experience / Background:

3-5 years of experience in global/international payroll environments, HR Operations or HR project management roles. Project track record: demonstrated experience participating in HR transition projects, payroll vendor migrations or system rollouts.

Strong understanding of how international payroll frameworks operate, including familiarity with interfaces and PBRs (payroll backbone reports).

Global mobility awareness: foundational knowledge of international assignments, tax implications for expats, or global mobility policies to act as an internal consultant.

Previous international roles in operational day2day payroll and general mobility is a plus.

Prior experience with designing HR policies, HR process maps, SOPs (standard operating procedures) or exposure to day2day HR operations in the hospitality sector is not a must, but highly valued.

- Tools:

HCM technology: proven experience working with Workday HCM, specifically CORE, Payroll solutions, Time Tracking, or Absences. Experience with Google Suite and Microsoft Office, Smart sheet or other project planning tools.
- Languages:

Proficiency in Spanish and English. Knowledge of Portuguese or French is a plus.
- Willingness to travel: to the different countries where we operate on an ad-hoc basis to support the rollout of new tools or processes, when necessary.
