Duties & Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain enterprise architecture standards, frameworks, and guidelines.
• Design end-to-end technology solutions that integrate applications, data, and infrastructure components.
• Ensure architecture designs comply with security, regulatory, and operational requirements.
• Lead technical design sessions and provide architectural guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
• Collaborate with business analysts, developers, project managers, and other stakeholders to deliver technology solutions.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and provide recommendations regarding adoption and implementation strategies.
• Define integration patterns for systems and applications operating across hybrid environments, including on-premises and cloud platforms.
• Analyze and optimize system performance, scalability, reliability, and availability.
• Support the implementation of monitoring, resilience, and disaster recovery strategies.
• Incorporate Government of Canada cybersecurity principles into architecture designs, where applicable.
• Ensure adherence to data protection, privacy, and compliance standards.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to business stakeholders and IT leadership.
• Communicate technical concepts, risks, and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in IT architecture, solution design, systems architecture, or related technology roles.
• Experience developing and implementing enterprise architecture frameworks, standards, and governance practices.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure and/or Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• Experience with virtualization, networking, and enterprise infrastructure technologies.
• Knowledge of integration technologies and patterns, including APIs, enterprise service bus (ESB), and microservices
