The Position

PGI is looking for an experienced Snow Groomer for Azerbaijan with strong expertise in winch grooming operations.

Working as the coordinator of the night grooming team, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality of piste preparation and will be directly involved in grooming operations, particularly on technical terrain and competition pistes.

Depending on operational requirements, opportunities to work on other PGI international projects may also be offered during the season.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare night-time grooming team schedules;
- Develop the daily grooming plan in coordination with the resort’s various departments;
- Adapt grooming priorities according to piste conditions, weather and operational requirements;
- Coordinate the monitoring and maintenance of the grooming fleet with the Chief Mechanic;
- Conduct on-snow inspections to assess grooming quality and the overall condition of the pistes;




- Contribute to the development of the snowmaking production plan in coordination with the Snowmaking Manager;
- Train and support snow groomer operators;
- Carry out winch grooming operations on steep slopes and technical terrain;
- Prepare pistes for alpine skiing, freestyle and ski mountaineering competitions;
- Ensure compliance with working procedures and safety requirements;
- Provide regular operational reports to the management team.

Candidate Profile

- Extensive experience operating winch-equipped snow groomers, ideally PistenBully machines;
- Experience preparing pistes for alpine skiing competitions would be an advantage;
- Good knowledge of snow, snowpack behaviour and piste preparation techniques;
- Ability to coordinate a team working night shifts;
- Ability to work effectively with maintenance, snowmaking, piste safety and operations teams;
- Knowledge of English would be an advantage.
