ABOUT THIS ROLE

We are looking for a highly detail-oriented and experienced Functional QA Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manual testing, a keen eye for identifying potential issues, and a solid understanding of software development processes. You will play a key role in ensuring the quality and functionality of our products through effective testing practices.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

- Test Planning and Design : Develop detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on functional requirements and user stories.
- Manual Testing : Perform functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing to ensure the software works as expected and meets business requirements.
- Defect Identification and Reporting : Identify, document, and track defects and inconsistencies in the software, collaborating with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
- Test Execution and Documentation :



Execute test cases and document results clearly, including both successes and issues found during testing.
- Collaboration with Stakeholders : Work closely with business analysts, product managers, and development teams to understand requirements and provide feedback from a quality perspective.
- Regression Testing : Ensure new features or updates do not break existing functionality through thorough regression testing.
- Continuous Improvement : Contribute to the improvement of testing processes and the overall quality assurance strategy, recommending tools, processes, and methodologies.
- Reporting and Metrics : Provide regular reports on testing progress, defect status, and test coverage, highlighting any risks or issues that may affect product release.
- User Experience Validation : Ensure that the application’s functionality aligns with user needs and expectations, contributing to a positive user experience.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

- Minimum of 3 years of experience in functional testing or QA roles.
- Strong understanding of manual testing techniques and methodologies.
- Experience with test case design, execution, and defect tracking.
- Familiarity with test management tools (e.g., JIRA, Xray, etc.).
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to identify even the smallest discrepancies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
- Good communication skills to effectively report issues and discuss technical details with developers.
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies and working in Agile teams is a plus.
