Overview
Lead the Computational Discovery group to advance disease understanding, target identification, and molecular design. You will drive computational strategy and ensure high-impact contributions across early discovery to translational stages, collaborating with biology, chemistry, and clinical teams. Shape long-term data science strategy and partnerships while upholding governance and responsible AI standards. This role sits at our Barcelona R&D; hub, enabling scientific leadership with real patient impact.
Responsabilidades Lead a multidisciplinary computational discovery team (bioinformatics and molecular modelling).
Drive design and execution of computational strategy for target identification, validation, and molecular design.
Ensure robust scientific contributions across early discovery to translational stages in cross-functional projects.
Collaborate with Disease Biology, Molecules, Translational and Clinical leads, and other data science functions.
Represent the Computational discovery team in strategic discussions and governance forums.
Contribute to long-term data science strategy, including technology scouting and external partnerships.
Ensure compliance with data governance, reproducibility, and responsible AI guidelines.
Requisitos principales PhD or equivalent in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Computational Chemistry, or related discipline
10+ years of experience in computational discovery or related fields, with leadership experience
Strong understanding of drug discovery and translational research workflows
Proven ability to lead teams in matrixed R&D; environments
