Bye Bye Plastic is a nonprofit on a mission to eliminate single-use plastic from the music and events industry. We’re bold, we’re optimistic, and we’re a little cheeky about it. About the gig
You’ll shape and run the social content and campaigns behind everything we do: events, artist partnerships, programs, fundraising, education, and community growth. You’ll write it, plan it, create it, schedule it, and make sure it lands on time, with our Head of Marketing owning strategy and approving calendar and content
• What you’ll be doingWriting copy and planning content for Instagram (our main stage), LinkedIn (important), newsletters, and blogs
• Creating posts, Reels, and Stories from our content library, plus footage from artists, fans, partners, and clients (you’ll coordinate collecting and storing it)




• Writing shoot briefs for the BBP team ahead of events, travels, and educational content
• Building and running our content calendar in Asana, planned at the start of each month, with the goal of avoiding all last-minute approvals
• Working hand in hand with our Head of Marketing and video editor, and with the wider team
• Setting up and maintaining ManyChat, and looking after DMs and comments in our tone: optimistic, bold, witty, inviting
• Flagging big brands, artists, DJs, and other high-level opportunities to our Director
• Reading our monthly marketing reports with us to see what worked, what didn’t, and what we do next
• Keeping our Solo Link and Luma calendar up to date
• Spotting trends early and knowing when to jump on them (and when not to)
• Coordinating with event clients, brand partners, and artist teams so the social plan actually delivers
