Description
OPPORTUNITY SUMMARY
Cenero empowers employees to innovate at every level. We hire high-energy activators who leverage their passion and expertise to build world-class solutions. As a Software Engineer II, you will design and implement features across the full application stack, contributing to both modern, responsive user interfaces and robust, scalable server-side systems built on Microsoft.NET.
AI development tools are part of how this team builds: you define what a change needs to do, review what the tools produce, and own the result, whether you wrote the code or a tool did. You will collaborate closely with Product Owners, stakeholders, and fellow engineers to deliver end-to-end solutions—from translating business requirements into clean APIs and services, to building intuitive front-end experiences that bring those capabilities to life.
LOCATION
1150 Atwater Drive, Malvern, PA 19355.

This is a hybrid position and will be required to be in office 3 to 4 days per week.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
The following responsibilities are considered essential functions of this position. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these functions.
Understand what the business is asking for and why, turn it into something the team can build and test, and explain the tradeoffs in plain words to Product Owners and other non-technical people.
Partner with Product Owners and stakeholders to clarify requirements, define acceptance criteria, and surface edge cases before development begins.
Define what each change needs to do, including expected behavior, failure cases, and constraints, before directing AI tools to build it.
Choose the simplest design that meets the need, placing logic and data in the layer where they belong rather than adding layers by default.
