Overview
As a COMMS Engineer, you will develop and deploy railway communication transport solutions for large-scale projects, ensuring robust connectivity for future mobility. You join a railway communications team to design, configure, and integrate wired and wireless networks with third-party tech while collaborating with customers and contractors. You will troubleshoot, support commissioning, and help shape reliable, scalable rail systems in an international context. Responsabilidades Analyze project requirements to design optimal communication solutions
Create precise technical specifications and system architectures
Lead integration with third-party technologies
Serve as technical liaison with customers and contractors
Troubleshoot wired and wireless network issues
Provide expert support during commissioning and operation
Requisitos principales 5+ years in rollout of communication networks (Gigabit Ethernet, SDH, MPLS) and radiocommunication systems (GSM-R, TETRA, IEEE 802.11)
Proven onsite testing and commissioning experience
Analytical skills with tools like Wireshark
Fluent English (spoken and written)
Ability to draft and manage detailed project documentation
Willingness to travel and adapt to occasional weekend/night shifts
Customer-facing technical liaison
Analytical mindset for network troubleshooting
Strong documentation and communication abilities
