Overview

In this role you will drive innovation in local Patient Safety processes across AstraZeneca and Alexion, aligning with Global and vendor-led operations. You will act as the key contact for Integral Patient Safety and cross-functional groups to harmonise safety activities and oversee a strategic vendor for local adverse event handling. You’ll lead continuous improvement, leverage technology and AI for automation, and support audits while shaping local safety practices to meet international regulations. This position sits at the crossroads of business transformation and safety excellence, offering impact across markets with a strong emphasis on collaboration.

Responsabilidades

Drive process innovation across local Patient Safety areas as defined by leadership Serve as point of contact for Global Patient Safety and cross-functional colleagues on local safety processes Promote and implement continuous improvement to boost productivity and quality Ensure local and global alignment with Global Process Owners Oversee the centralised model for local adverse event handling across markets Act as SME and liaison between business and operational vendors to deliver excellence Prepare and deliver process training for local Patient Safety areas Maintain awareness of new Patient Safety trends and incorporate improvements Leverage technology and AI to drive automation and productivity gains Support audits and inspections of local safety activities and processes Complete required training and develop a personal development plan

Requisitos principales

Science degree or equivalent healthcare professional qualification Experience in Patient Safety at an above-country role and/or with vendors Up-to-date knowledge of international patient safety regulations Substantial market-level Patient Safety experience CAN-DO attitude with ability to collaborate across local and global stakeholders Verbal and written English skills collaboration innovative thinking proactive problem-solving regulatory knowledge in patient safety pharmacovigilance vendor management process redesign and technology-driven efficiency
