Position Summary The Activation Manager is responsible for coordinating and overseeing activation activities within IREN Spain’s Procurement & Supply Chain function, ensuring that awarded suppliers, purchase orders, delivery commitments, documentation, and supply chain requirements are effectively mobilised after contract or order approval. The role supports the transition from procurement award to execution readiness, helping secure timely availability of goods, services, and project-related resources for data center development, construction, and operational readiness activities.
Working within the Procurement & Supply Chain Department and reporting to the Director of Procurement & Supply Chain, the Activation Manager coordinates supplier mobilisation, purchase order activation, delivery follow-up, issue escalation, documentation control, and alignment with procurement, logistics, finance, project, construction, technical, and operations stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Director of Procurement & Supply Chain, the Activation Manager is responsible for:
- Coordinate the activation of awarded suppliers, purchase orders, framework agreements, and supply chain commitments, ensuring that mobilisation steps, documentation, delivery expectations, and internal handovers are properly organised.
- Maintain activation plans, supplier mobilisation trackers, purchase order registers, delivery schedules, issue logs, documentation matrices, and status reports to provide clear visibility of priorities, risks, and open actions.
- Coordinate with procurement managers, suppliers, logistics providers, finance, construction, technical, project, operations,
and other internal stakeholders to support timely availability of goods and services.
- Monitor order confirmations, manufacturing or preparation milestones, delivery dates, documentation requirements, invoice-related dependencies, and supplier readiness, escalating deviations that may affect project continuity.
- Support the resolution of activation issues by consolidating information, following up with suppliers and internal stakeholders, and helping align corrective actions with project needs and procurement priorities.
- Ensure that activation documentation, supplier confirmations, delivery evidence, compliance documents, certificates, and project records are properly collected, organised, and available for internal control and reporting purposes.
- Contribute to the improvement of activation processes, supplier mobilisation routines, procurement handover practices, reporting templates, and supply chain controls, supporting a scalable operating model for IREN Spain.
Requirements
- Degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering, Operations, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5–7 years of experience in supply chain activation, procurement coordination, logistics, supplier mobilisation, purchasing operations,
project procurement, or supply chain delivery environments.
- Good understanding of procurement-to-delivery processes, purchase order activation, supplier coordination, delivery follow-up, documentation control, logistics interfaces, invoice dependencies, and project supply chain requirements.
- Ability to organise complex activation plans, supplier trackers, purchase documentation, delivery records, open issues, and reporting inputs in a clear, accurate, and structured manner.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel; experience with ERP systems, procurement platforms, SAP, document management tools, or supply chain reporting systems will be positively valued.
- Strong organisation, communication, coordination, analytical, and follow-up skills, with the ability to work effectively with suppliers, internal teams, logistics providers, finance stakeholders, and project teams.
- Fluent Spanish and professional English are required; experience in infrastructure, construction, industrial, energy, data center, or high-growth project environments will be positively valued.
