Title: AI Builder, Alternative Finance

Location: Madrid, Spain (hybrid)

Who are we recruiting for:

Our client is a fast-growing alternative financing platform based in Madrid, specialising in debt and capital solutions for companies and infrastructure projects across Europe. Backed by the European Investment Fund and connected to a network of more than 400 institutional investors in 22 countries, the business arranges corporate and project finance from €5M to €75M, with a strong focus on renewable energy and sustainability, alongside mobility, data centres, real estate and industrial assets.

With its model proven in market, the platform's next step is to make the analysis, presentation and distribution of every financing operation run on product rather than manual effort. The business is now looking to appoint two AI Builders: finance professionals who understand alternative credit from the inside and can build the methodologies, processes and tools behind it, then lead the operations that run on them.

What will you be doing:

- Turn the analysis and structuring of €5M to €75M financing operations into repeatable methodologies, models and tools used across the team every day.
- Design and build AI and automation workflows that take a deal from borrower onboarding through credit assessment to investor distribution.
- Own the operations behind the tools you build, making sure they work in practice and keep improving.
- Translate credit, structured finance and project finance know-how into product requirements, working alongside the product, processes and development teams.
- Standardise how financing proposals are prepared and presented to institutional investors, reducing friction and turnaround time.
- Build data, reporting and monitoring processes across the portfolio, from origination to post-close.
- Work directly with the founders on how the platform scales its operating model.




- Identify where manual work can be removed and make the case for change with clear numbers.

Are you the idóneo candidate?

- 1-3 years' experience in credit analysis, structured finance, project finance, debt advisory, credit rating or a similar finance role.
- Understanding of debt products, credit risk and how financing operations are structured and executed.
- A builder by instinct: you already use Python, SQL, advanced modelling, automation or AI tools to make your own work faster, without being a career software developer.
- Proven ability to turn a manual process into a system that others use without you.
- Comfortable owning operations, not only delivering tools.
- Exposure to renewable energy or infrastructure finance is a plus.
- Analytical rigour combined with a product and commercial mindset.
- Excellent communication skills, able to work with credit, product and technical stakeholders.
- Fluent Spanish and English are essential; Italian would be an advantage.
- Comfortable in a small, entrepreneurial and fast-moving environment.
