Together with the Business Cloud Services (BCS) team, the Cloud DevOps Engineer will design, automate, and operate our enterprise-grade cloud platform on Microsoft Azure. Operating within an international Scrum setup across multiple countries, you will play a key role in driving an automation-first culture using modular Terraform and Azure DevOps pipelines. You will collaborate closely with Cloud Architects and Engineering teams to deliver secure, highly available, and scalable workloads for mission-critical services worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC) Standardization: Design, build, and maintain production-grade, reusable Terraform modules to automate the entire lifecycle of Azure core infrastructure, enforcing architectural standards and operational best practices.
- CI/CD Pipeline Engineering: Maintain scalable, multi-stage Azure DevOps YAML pipelines for automated infrastructure provisioning, application deployments, quality gates, and automated security/compliance scanning.
- Azure & Private Networking Integration: Deploy and manage secure Azure solutions (such as Azure App Services, Event Hubs, Azure Virtual Desktop, Databricks, and AKS), ensuring seamless integration with central Hub-and-Spoke network topologies, Private Endpoints, User-Defined Routes (UDRs), and Azure Key Vault.
- Containerization & DevOps Practices: Hands-on experience with Docker and containerized workloads, including container image management, private registries, deployment pipelines, monitoring, troubleshooting, and operational best practices. Knowledge of Kubernetes, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Helm, or GitOps methodologies is a nice to have.
- Code Quality & Security Guardrails: Conduct rigorous peer code reviews for Terraform modules and pipeline definitions. Embed security guardrails into CI/CD workflows, ensuring proper secret management and adherence to enterprise compliance standards.
- Collaboration & Continuous Improvement: Work closely with Cloud Architects, Developers, and Operations teams to resolve technical escalations, refine runbooks, optimize cloud cost efficiency, and drive platform reliability (SRE principles).

- Excellent communication skills in English (Spanish would be a plus).
- 5+ years relevant experience.
- Experience & Degree: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field with 5+ years of hands-on experience as a Cloud DevOps / Platform Engineer operating production environments in Azure.
- Advanced Terraform Mastery: Extensive experience developing, structuring, and maintaining modular Terraform code for complex enterprise Azure environments.
- Azure DevOps Expertise: Deep experience designing multi-stage YAML pipelines, reusable pipeline templates, deployment strategies, environment gates, and integration with Azure Key Vault and Managed Identities.

- Communication & Agile: Excellent oral and written communication skills in English, with experience collaborating effectively in distributed international Scrum teams.
- Self-Starter Mentality: We are looking for someone who does not simply execute tasks, but actively identifies problems, proposes solutions, and drives improvements. The ideal candidate is comfortable operating with a high degree of autonomy, making decisions when required, and taking ownership of both successes and failures while collaborating effectively with the wider team.
