We are looking for a talented Commissioning Engineer to join our team specializing in Project Execution for our Projects Department in San Fernando de Henares, Spain.
This role will require up to 75% of domestic travel frequency and 10% of international travel.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Ensure safe and reliable system performance by testing and reporting on equipment at both site and packager level, helping identify issues early and supporting successful project delivery.
- Drive quality excellence by supporting inspections and verification activities, ensuring equipment and systems meet required standards and customer expectations.
- Enhance operational efficiency by providing technical support to site teams and management, helping resolve challenges and maintain project momentum.
- Promote a strong safety culture through the development of Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS), ensuring work is planned and executed safely and compliantly.
- Influence project success by contributing technical expertise during design meetings with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders, helping align solutions with project requirements.
- Strengthen stakeholder relationships by collaborating closely with customers, suppliers, and cross-functional teams to support effective communication and decision-making throughout the project lifecycle.
- Maintain testing integrity and compliance by ensuring all testing equipment is properly maintained, calibrated, and fit for purpose, supporting accurate and reliable results.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance testing processes, quality standards, and site operations,
contributing to overall project and business performance.
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
- Technical knowledge: Ability to test, troubleshoot, and report on equipment performance while understanding engineering drawings, specifications, and testing requirements.
- Quality and compliance focus: Knowledge of quality inspection processes, RAMS development, and the importance of maintaining testing equipment compliance and calibration standards.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills: Confidence working with customers, suppliers, site teams, and internal stakeholders, effectively contributing to design reviews and technical discussions.
- Safety and problem-solving mindset: Commitment to safe working practices, proactive risk identification, and the ability to resolve technical and operational challenges in a fast-paced project environment.
Education/ Experience:
- Apprentice Trained Engine Technician (Preferred)
- Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution
- Locally valid driving permit
- This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations
- Intermediate field service work experience
- Expert level knowledge of and/or experience with power generation products
- Customer service experience
