The Role

International pharmaceutical company with headquarters in Switzerland and offices in Barcelona (Poblenou). With annual revenues of approximately €10 million, the company combines the international environment and standards of a multinational organization with the agility, proximity and hands-on culture of a smaller business.

We are looking for a Finance Manager to lead the Finance function in Spain and oversee Legal & Compliance and IT, managing a small team of two people.

Reporting to the local General Manager and working closely with the Finance team at the Swiss headquarters.

Key Responsibilities

Finance & Business Planning

- Lead the Finance function for Spain and Portugal, ensuring accurate and timely financial management and reporting.
- Coordinate budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes for both markets.
- Prepare monthly financial reporting, management accounts and business performance analysis.
- Monitor P&L;, balance sheet, cash flow, working capital and key financial KPIs across the Iberian business.
- Provide financial insights to support commercial and strategic decision-making in Spain and Portugal.
- Act as a trusted business partner to the General Manager and local leadership team.
- Identify financial risks, business opportunities and potential efficiency improvements.
- Coordinate statutory accounts, audits, tax processes and local regulatory requirements in both countries, working with external advisors where appropriate.
- Ensure alignment with the financial policies, reporting requirements and processes established by the Swiss headquarters.

Legal & Compliance





- Oversee Legal & Compliance matters across Spain and Portugal, coordinating with HQ and external legal advisors.
- Ensure local operations comply with corporate policies and relevant pharmaceutical industry requirements.
- Coordinate contracts, corporate documentation and internal approval processes.
- Act as a key local contact for compliance-related matters and support the implementation of corporate policies and training.

IT

- Oversee IT-related matters for the Iberian organization, coordinating local providers and corporate IT.

Team & Stakeholder Management

- Lead and develop a team of two professionals.
- Build strong relationships with Commercial, Medical and other functions across the Iberian organization.
- Maintain close collaboration with international stakeholders at the Swiss headquarters.
- Manage relationships with external partners including auditors, tax advisors, banks, legal counsel and IT providers in Spain and Portugal.

Candidate Profile

- University degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance or similar.
- Solid experience in Finance, ideally within the pharmaceutical, healthcare, life sciences or another regulated multinational environment.
- Strong knowledge of accounting, controlling, budgeting, forecasting, reporting and financial analysis.
- Experience working in an international matrix organization and interacting with an international HQ.
- Experience or exposure to Spain and Portugal would be highly valued.
- Previous exposure to Legal, Compliance and/or IT oversight would be an advantage. The successful candidate is not expected to be a technical specialist in these areas but should be comfortable taking overall responsibility and coordinating internal and external experts.
- Previous people management experience.
- Fluent Spanish and English.
- Good knowledge of ERP and financial reporting systems. (they work with SAP).
