Role OverviewWe are looking for a passionate, detail-oriented, and experienced Luxury Travel Designer to join our team on-site in Arenys de Mar.

In this multi-faceted role, you will be responsible for managing a wide spectrum of travel requests—from individual tour bookings and fully tailor-made itineraries. You will leverage Kaluma’s 30-year legacy of industry relationships, deep destination knowledge, and creative flair to deliver seamless, once-in-a-lifetime journeys for both individual travelers and corporate/group clients.

Key Responsibilities

- Diverse Product &

• Portfolio Management:
- Tailor-Made &

- FIT Travel: Design, curate, and customize high-end, long-haul itineraries tailored to specific private clients, couples, and families.
- Individual Tour Bookings: Efficiently process, quote, and manage individual reservations for scheduled long-haul tours and established programs.
- B2B Relationship Management: Provide expert consultation to private clients and partner travel agencies, offering personalized recommendations on destinations, luxury accommodations, unique activities, and logistics.
- Supplier &
- Partner Coordination:



Liaise directly with international DMCs (Destination Management Companies), luxury hotel chains, airlines, and local suppliers to negotiate group rates, secure bookings, and ensure competitive pricing.
- End-to-End Sales &
- Operations: Handle the full operational cycle—from initial inquiry, quotation, and flight/land bookings to issuing travel documentation and delivering pre-departure briefings.
- Quality Assurance &
- On-Trip Support: Ensure every trip meets Kaluma Travel’s high standards of quality built over 30 years. Provide proactive assistance and problem-solving support for traveling clients and groups.
- Market &
- Product Knowledge: Stay up-to-date with luxury travel trends, emerging destinations, new boutique hotel openings, and exclusive group experiences.

Requirements &

• Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of experience in long-haul travel operations, covering tailor-made FITs, individual tour reservations, and group/incentive travel within a tour operator or travel agency.
- Destination Expertise: Deep geographical and practical knowledge of key long-haul destinations (e.g., Africa, Asia, the Americas, Middle East, or Oceania).
- Language Skills: Fluency in Catalan, Spanish, and English (written and spoken) is essential.



Ability to draft professional proposals and communications in all three languages.
- Industry Tools & • GDS:

Hands-on experience with GDS platforms (e.g., Amadeus and TravelPort), travel management software, and quotation tools.
- Customer-Centric & • Solution-Oriented Mindset:

Strong passion for high-end service, sharp attention to detail, and the ability to multitask effectively between individual and group projects.
- Commercial & • Negotiation Skills:

Excellent communication and negotiation capabilities for securing competitive pricing across FIT and group allocations.
- Proximity & • Presence:

Ability to work full-time on-site at our offices in Arenys de Mar.
