Job profile: Maintaining the aircraft fleet (EAT/DHA/DHK/ASL) ensures safe, stable, and punctual operations through both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities during ground time. The role focuses on maximizing aircraft reliability and operational efficiency while adhering to strict safety protocols and aviation regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general repair and maintenance tasks on aircraft systems within the scope of CAT B1 (mechanical) and/or CAT B2 (avionics), depending on qualification and type rating.
- Conduct troubleshooting, defect analysis, and fault isolation by evaluating error logs and system performance, resolving issues through component replacement, repair, or system adjustments.
- Ensure the operability of aircraft systems, including:
- B1 scope: airframe, engines, landing gear, hydraulic systems, de-icing systems, and powerplant.
- B2 scope: avionics, electrical systems, communication, radar, autopilot, and electronic control systems.
- Install, test, and commission aircraft systems, including:
- Electrical wiring, signal and data lines, sensors, and control systems.
- Avionic equipment and aeronautical software, ensuring proper configuration, integration, and performance.
- Perform maintenance, inspection, and certification (release to service) activities for aircraft within the assigned type rating and authorization.
- Execute Category A maintenance tasks in accordance with regulatory approvals.
- Ensure strict compliance with MOE, CAME, TC holder documentation, and all applicable aviation regulations.
- Maintain accurate and complete documentation of all maintenance activities,
inspections, and repairs.
- Communicate effectively with flight crew before departure and after arrival to support safe operations.
- Liaise with EAT MCC, MOC, and troubleshooting teams, providing continuous updates on technical status and AOG situations.
- Support station operations including logistics of parts and tools, ensuring timely availability and proper inventory control.
- Ensure all tools and equipment are maintained in safe and operational condition.
- Report operational irregularities in accordance with Safety Management System (SMS) procedures.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by proposing ideas to enhance operational performance and efficiency.
Employee profile:
- Completed vocational training in aircraft maintenance or a related field.
- Valid EASA Part 66 AML CAT B1 and/or B2 license.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in aircraft maintenance.
- Experience on wide-body aircraft is required.
- At least one relevant aircraft type rating is desirable.
- Previous experience at outstations is a strong advantage.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills across mechanical and/or avionics systems.
- Team-oriented with a proactive and responsible mindset.
- High attention to detail and quality standards.
- Strong commitment, resilience, and ability to work under pressure.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken) and Spanish
- Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and provide AOG support.
- Flexibility to travel for training or to support other stations.
- Strong IT skills (Microsoft Office, Trax, AIMS; AMOS is a plus).
