HP's Office Print Solutions division is evolving, growing beyond hardware into a broader portfolio of secure, connected, and workflow solutions that help businesses work more effectively - and we're looking for a Marketing Segment Strategy Lead to help shape where and how we win.

In this role, you'll define the marketing strategy for a priority Office Print segment, translating business ambition, market dynamics, customer needs, and industry trends into a clear growth strategy. You'll identify the highest-value growth opportunities, define the audiences and customer needs that matter most, and establish where HP should play and how we should win.

You'll connect strategy to activation - developing the strategic marketing brief, setting the customer journey and success metrics, and orchestrating cross-functional teams across media, communications, hp.com, channel, and creative. You'll provide the strategic direction and clarity that enables teams to execute consistently while allowing markets and functional teams to bring the strategy to life.

How You'll Make an Impact

Segment Strategy & Growth

· Define the segment strategy: translate business priorities, industry insights, market trajectory, analyst perspectives, TAM, and competitive dynamics into a clear view of where to play and how to win. · Identify growth opportunities: assess customer, category, portfolio, and market opportunities and prioritize the areas with the greatest potential to accelerate segment growth.

· Define the marketing job to be done: establish the role marketing needs to play in the segment, including the audience, business objective, customer challenge, and desired behavior or outcome.

· Build the strategic marketing brief: turn the segment strategy into a clear, actionable brief that aligns marketing and cross-functional teams around the growth opportunity, target audience, customer need, value proposition, and priorities.

· Connect strategy to business outcomes: ensure marketing priorities are directly linked to segment growth objectives and provide a clear basis for investment and resource decisions.

Customer Strategy, Journey & Measurement

· Define target audiences and customer needs: use customer research, behavioral data, industry knowledge, and market insights to identify the audiences that matter most and the needs marketing must address. · Map the customer journey: define the key moments of choice, barriers, triggers, and information needs across the journey, and identify where marketing can have the greatest impact.

· Set success metrics: establish clear KPIs and measurement principles that connect strategy to customer, brand, demand, and business outcomes.

· Turn insight into action:



continuously use performance data, customer feedback, and market signals to refine priorities and strengthen the strategy.

PESO Strategy & Cross-Functional Orchestration

· Own the PESO strategy and execution: define how paid, earned, shared, and owned channels should work together to achieve the segment strategy and customer objectives. · Orchestrate cross-functional teams: bring together Media, Communications, hp.com, Channel, and other partners around a common strategic direction, priorities, and measurement framework.

· Enable market activation: provide clear strategic guidance, frameworks, and playbooks that help regional and country teams adapt the strategy to local market dynamics without losing strategic consistency.

· Drive alignment and decisions: surface trade-offs, resolve strategic ambiguity, and align stakeholders on priorities, investment, and the role of each marketing function.

Channel & Portfolio Strategy

· Set channel strategy: define the role of direct, retail, e-tail, partner, and other routes to market based on audience behavior, customer journey, and segment growth priorities. · Brief channel marketing teams on strategy: translate the segment strategy into clear channel priorities, customer needs, and activation principles while enabling channel teams to own execution.

· Connect portfolio priorities to segment needs: ensure portfolio, product, and solution priorities are grounded in customer needs and the highest-value growth opportunities.

· Create strategic consistency: connect product, channel, media, communications, and creative priorities into one coherent segment strategy and customer experience.

Market Intelligence & Strategic Leadership

· Monitor market trajectory: bring together industry trends, analyst perspectives, competitive intelligence, customer research, and business performance to identify implications for the segment strategy. · Develop a differentiated point of view: articulate a clear perspective on the market, customer, competitive landscape, and HP's right to win, and use it to influence senior stakeholders.

· Anticipate change: identify emerging customer, technology, channel, and competitive shifts and translate them into strategic opportunities or risks.

· Influence senior leadership: communicate complex market and customer dynamics clearly, build alignment across functions, and drive decisions on where marketing should focus.

Qualifications

· BA in Marketing, Business, Economics,



or related field (MBA or similar preferred). · 8+ years of proven experience in marketing strategy, growth strategy, product marketing, or a related field with experience developing strategies that influence business growth in complex, global organizations.

· Strategic and analytical mindset: deep understanding of market dynamics, customer insights, competitive landscapes, and business drivers; able to synthesize complex inputs into clear strategic choices and priorities.

· Growth orientation: strong track record of identifying growth opportunities, defining target audiences and customer needs, and translating them into actionable marketing strategies.

· Customer-centric thinker: experienced in using customer research, behavioral data, and journey insights to define marketing priorities and improve customer outcomes.

· Strong cross-functional leadership: able to influence without direct authority, align senior stakeholders, and orchestrate diverse teams toward a common objective.

· Excellent communicator and storyteller: able to turn complex strategy and insights into clear, compelling narratives and briefs for senior leaders and marketing teams. Fluent, professional English required.

· Data-driven decision maker: comfortable defining success metrics, interpreting performance data, and using evidence to prioritize investment and adjust strategy.

· Integral perspective with local pragmatism: comfortable operating across global, regional, and market organizations and balancing consistency with local customer and channel realities.

· Strong organizational and program leadership skills: able to manage multiple strategic workstreams, establish clear priorities, and drive progress across complex stakeholder environments.
