Overview As a Design Mechanical Engineer you lead design projects for AWS data centers, driving upgrades and new services while providing end-to-end lifecycle support from design through implementation. You will collaborate with extensive cross-functional teams to ensure standards, reliability, and scalable infrastructure. You’ll work on multiple projects across regions, mentor junior engineers, and occasionally travel up to 25%. This role supports mission-critical facilities at a general scale within AWS Infrastructure Services.

Perform design and equipment submittal review for Data Centers in your region Interface with data center design engineering, server hardware, EHS, field engineering,
and controls engineering to promote standards Work on concurrent projects across multiple regions as a technical subject matter expert Support construction, commissioning, operations, and turnover Mentor and oversee junior engineers in your discipline Travel up to 25% for projects locally and globally
Requisitos principales
Knowledge of critical data center mechanical and electrical equipment Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel Experience with design, construction, operation, or maintenance of mission critical facilities, especially data centers Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering Stakeholder management Cross-functional collaboration Mentoring and leadership Data center mechanical and electrical systems knowledge Microsoft Office proficiency Experience taking design concepts through exploration, development, and deployment
