We're hiring a QA Automation Engineer to join the Investment Risk IT team of a leading general asset management firm in Madrid.
You'll help shape the quality culture of their risk platforms, combining thoughtful manual testing with pragmatic automation. It's a team that values ownership, curiosity and clear communication, and where quality is built in from day one, not added at the end.
What you'll do
- Design and run manual tests across frontend, API and database layers, focusing on edge cases and business risks
- Build and maintain automated tests with Cucumber and Serenity BDD
- Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins) for fast, reliable feedback
- Support performance and load testing
- Report quality status clearly using Allure
- Work closely with developers, BAs and product owners, and propose improvements to QA practices and tooling
What we're looking for
- Degree in Computer Science,
Engineering or similar
- 3+ years in QA, with solid experience in both manual testing and test automation
- Experience with Serenity BDD, Cucumber and/or Gatling
- Hands-on with Git, Jenkins and Gradle
- REST API and web services testing experience
- Agile/Scrum background
- Fluent English; German is a plus
- Comfortable using AI tools responsibly to boost productivity
Nice to have
- Experience in finance, investment risk or asset management
- ISTQB certification
