(Senior) Technical Architect – Salesforce Commerce Cloud

About the company

Our client is a leading European brand in the sports and mobility sector that sells 100% direct-to-consumer through its own e-commerce channels. It is building a new Tech Hub in Barcelona as part of a move from external agencies to its own in-house, distributed teams across Europe and India.

About the role The company runs a mature, multi-site Salesforce B2C Commerce Cloud platform built on a heavily customized SFRA base, with around 100-200 tickets per monthly release. You'll own its architecture in-house, reporting to the Director of Applications. You'll be part of a small architecture group (Commerce Cloud, Service Cloud and API & Integration) that sets technical guidelines for the whole development organization.

What you'll do





- Own the Commerce Cloud architecture and guide a development team of around 14 engineers across several countries.
- Split your time roughly 50/50 between hands-on work and governance: standards, code reviews and technical decisions.
- Help move custom logic out of the platform and into reusable APIs, following an "API & Clean Core" approach.
- Lead offshore and nearshore teams in delivering scalable, future-proof solutions.

What we're looking for

- Solid experience as an eCommerce B2C architect or senior consultant.
- Hands-on experience scaling Salesforce B2C Commerce Cloud, including SFRA, PWA Kit, OCAPI and SCAPI.
- Experience leading offshore or nearshore teams.
- A track record of delivering real architecture projects.
- Fluent spoken English, since you'll work daily with international teams.
- Nice to have: Salesforce certifications and a D2C or e-commerce mindset.
