Offer Description Mission:

Develop research support tasks in "Industrialized open regeneration in Barcelona".

Functions to be developed:

Collaborate in research tasks aimed at defining improvements and optimizations for the large-scale implementation of sustainable and adaptable systems for the regeneration of collective housing buildings in disadvantaged neighborhoods and residential complexes in the city of Barcelona.

Contribute to the development of a catalog of solutions adaptable to different urban conditions of collective housing construction: the urban environment, the ground floor, the facades, community roofs, among others.

Provide support in the preparation of work sessions aimed at the structural analysis of a matrix of possibilities for the application of self-supporting or supported systems for the extension of existing buildings.

Collaborate in the preparation of participation and debate sessions with non-academic participants, from the professional field, from public administration, from the third sector as well as from the neighborhood fabric.

Carry out the bioclimatic analysis and the evaluation of the potential improvement of environmental comfort in existing homes, as well as the analysis of the life cycle of the materials and the proposed construction solutions in comparison with contrasting alternatives.

Participate in the preparation of publications to disseminate research both in the scientific and technical fields and for the general public.





Proficiency in Office and Autodesk software.

Knowledge:

Rehabilitation and regeneration of buildings: Specialization in intervention in existing buildings, prioritizing protection, efficiency and integration with the urban and natural environment.

Architectural restoration:Mastery of specific techniques and criteria for the recovery, conservation and enhancement of built heritage.

It will be assessed:

Specific training in architectural research, urban and landscape rehabilitation and regeneration.

Professional Experience:

Participation in design competitions for comprehensive rehabilitation projects.

In urban rehabilitation and regeneration projects, urban planning and landscaping.

In outreach activities, conferences, exhibitions and architectural competitions, in academic research in the field of urban rehabilitation and regeneration.

Experience in functions similar to those described will be valued, specifically in the development of research activities, both in the university and industrial environment.

Other requirements to consider:

Interest in pursuing doctoral studies at the UPC.

Additional Information €33,876.08 gross per year (full-time)

3 points for professional experience.

1 point for any aspect of the candidate’s professional profile to be determined as specially relevant by the Selection committee.

If the selection committee decide to include a personal interview as additional step of the selection process, only the candidates scored 5 or above for their CV will be retained for the interview step.

The

interview

will be assessed according the following criteria:

Threshold: 3 points.

The maximum score will be distributed according the following criteria:

2 points for adequacy to functional competences of the job.

2 points for adequacy of professional experience.

1 point for any aspect of the candidate’s professional profile to be determined as especially relevant by the Selection committee.

The eligible candidates will be ranked from highest to lowest score, being this the selection criteria.
