Key Responsibilities

- Develop and enhance an enterprise-scale, AI-powered translation platform and its associated services.
- Integrate LLM-based translation capabilities into global content-processing ecosystems and media pipelines.
- Build highly reliable REST APIs and event-driven microservices to manage high-volume translation requests and results.
- Support direct integration with selected LLM/translation providers, continuously evaluating opportunities to improve translation quality, scalability, cost, and latency.
- Implement and optimize event-driven architectures utilizing Kafka to ensure seamless integration with existing enterprise platforms.
- Establish robust operational capabilities, including appropriate error handling, retries, monitoring, logging, and performance tuning.
- Develop comprehensive automated tests and validation mechanisms specifically tailored for translation workflows.
- Drive scalability improvements to support international expansion, increasing translation volumes, and additional content types.
- Assist with production deployment, troubleshooting, and continuous operational support.




- Collaborate closely with cross-functional engineering and product teams on technical design, implementation, testing, and documentation.

Must-have Skills

- 8+ years of experience in backend software development.
- Advanced English level (C1+) with excellent technical and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong expertise in Java and Spring Boot application development.
- Proven track record of designing and building scalable REST APIs and microservices.
- Solid experience in cloud-based application development, preferably using Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Hands-on experience with Kafka and building event-driven architectures.
- Strong foundation in modern software development practices, including Git, CI/CD, code reviews, automated testing, and Agile methodologies.
- Experience setting up application monitoring and providing production support for enterprise systems.

Nice-to-have:

- AI Tooling Proficiency: Leverage one or more AI tools to optimize and augment day-to-day work, including drafting, analysis, research, or process automation. Provide recommendations on effective AI use and identify opportunities to streamline workflows.
- Hands-on experience building or integrating LLM/AI-based applications and APIs.
- Familiarity with machine translation systems and/or multilingual content processing.
- Previous experience working with content-management, publishing, or large-scale media platforms.
