Position Summary The Technician Activation/Supply Chain supports activation and supply chain activities for IREN Spain, helping ensure that procurement requests, supplier inputs, purchase documentation, delivery follow-up, and activation requirements are properly coordinated and tracked. The role contributes to the efficient mobilisation of goods, services, and project-related resources required for IREN’s data center development, construction, and operational readiness activities.
Working within the Procurement & Supply Chain Department and reporting to the Director of Procurement & Supply Chain, the Technician Activation/Supply Chain provides day-to-day support in purchase order follow-up, supplier coordination, delivery tracking, activation documentation, internal request management, and coordination with procurement, logistics, finance, project, construction, and operations teams.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Director of Procurement & Supply Chain, the Technician Activation/Supply Chain is responsible for:
- Support the activation and follow-up of procurement and supply chain activities for IREN Spain, ensuring that requests, purchase orders, supplier inputs, delivery milestones, and required documentation are properly tracked.
- Prepare and maintain activation trackers, purchase order registers, supplier follow-up lists, delivery schedules, documentation files, and status updates to provide clear visibility of open actions, deadlines, and priorities.
- Coordinate information with procurement managers, suppliers, logistics providers, finance, project teams, construction, operations,
and other internal stakeholders to support timely activation of goods and services.
- Assist with supplier communication, order confirmation, delivery follow-up, documentation requests, invoice or payment-related queries, and issue resolution under the guidance of the Director of Procurement & Supply Chain.
- Support the collection, review, and organisation of supply chain documentation, including quotations, purchase orders, delivery notes, supplier certificates, compliance documents, and other project-related records.
- Monitor delays, missing information, delivery risks, supplier issues, and process bottlenecks, escalating relevant matters to support timely decisions and continuity of project activities.
- Contribute to the improvement of activation routines, procurement trackers, filing practices, supplier follow-up processes, and supply chain reporting, supporting a structured and scalable operating model for IREN Spain.
Requirements
- Vocational qualification, technical degree, or university degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering, Operations, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 2–4 years of experience in procurement support,
supply chain coordination, logistics, order activation, purchasing administration, supplier follow-up, or project operations environments.
- Good understanding of procurement processes, purchase orders, supplier coordination, delivery follow-up, documentation control, invoice support, and supply chain administration.
- Ability to organise requests, trackers, purchase documentation, supplier inputs, delivery records, and follow-up actions in a clear, accurate, and structured manner.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel; experience with ERP systems, procurement platforms, SAP, document management tools, or reporting systems will be positively valued.
- Strong attention to detail, organisation, communication, follow-up capability, and ability to coordinate effectively with suppliers, internal teams, logistics providers, and finance stakeholders.
- Fluent Spanish and professional English are required; experience in infrastructure, construction, industrial, energy, data center, or high-growth project environments will be positively valued.
