About the Role & TeamThis Legal Attorney role sits within the Disney Iberia Legal team and provides broad, cross-functional support across commercial, corporate, technology and regional matters for Spain and Portugal, while collaborating closely with colleagues across EMEA and the US. The attorney will combine strong commercial contracting, IP and data protection expertise with a genuine interest in technology, AI and legal innovation to enable Disney’s businesses to operate, grow and transform in a compliant and efficient way.This role reports to the Senior Counsel.You’ll join a team grounded in our Disney values — acting with Integrity, welcoming everyone through Inclusion, embracing boundless Creativity, working together through Collaboration and caring deeply for our Community. These values shape how we work and how we support one another every day.This role will be based in our Madrid office, 4 days a week, with either a Monday or Friday working from home. This is a fixed-term contract from November 2026 till end of June 2027.What You Will DoThe Legal Attorney will provide practical, business-focused legal support across Spain and Portugal, helping protect Disney’s interests, ensure compliance and enable strategic initiatives.Draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements—including service, agency, vendor, acquisition, marketing, promotional, partnership and sponsorship arrangements, and provide day-to-day advice to teams in Spain and PortugalAdvise on marketing, advertising, promotions, competitions, events, PR, image rights, intellectual property and reputational matters, including reviewing materials, drafting terms and supporting clearancesProvide guidance on data protection and privacy, including GDPR-related contractual matters arising from marketing, events and other uses of personal dataLead localization and rights-exploitation matters, including dubbing,



voice-over, rights assignments and performer releases across multiple territoriesSupport content clearance and anti-piracy matters, liaising with regional and US legal teams where requiredManage corporate governance matters in Spain and Portugal, including powers of attorney, corporate changes, resolutions, reorganisations, record-keeping and coordination with external counsel and international corporate teamsSupport EMEA and cross-border projects by negotiating multi-territory agreements, researching relevant EU and local law, and translating complex legal issues into clear, commercially focused adviceDrive legal operations and digital transformation through process automation, knowledge management, template optimisation, continuous improvement and the responsible adoption of AI and other technologiesAct as the Legal department’s InfoSec champion, maintaining knowledge of internal security processes and coordinating with the regional security team.Build trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders, represent the organisation appropriately and recommend practical, ethical courses of action that support effective business outcomesRequired Qualifications & SkillsQualified lawyer with substantial post-qualification experience in commercial, marketing and intellectual property matters within the entertainment or audiovisual sector or in a law firmStrong expertise in intellectual property law, particularly in relation to media, content,



licensing and rights exploitationExcellent written and spoken English and Spanish, with the ability to draft and negotiate complex contracts and communicate legal matters clearly, also to stakeholders without a legal backgroundStrong knowledge of European law and EU regulatory frameworks relevant to media, marketing and data protectionStrong understanding of AI, technology and legal innovation, with an interest in using them to improve legal services and processesHighly organised, analytical and detail-oriented, with the ability to prioritise effectively, solve problems and deliver practical, business-focused advice in a fast-paced environmentCollaborative and diplomatic, with sound ethical judgment and the ability to build trusted relationships across different backgrounds, functions and working stylesResilient and adaptable, with a commitment to professional excellence, continuous improvement and positive changePreferred Qualifications:Knowledge of European lawStrong organisational skills, with a methodical and meticulous approach and the ability to prioritise effectively under pressure and meet deadlinesAn innovative and curious mindset, with a drive to identify more efficient ways of workingThe Walt Disney Company is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
