This job is with WTW, an inclusive employer and a member of myGwork – the largest global platform for the LGBTQ+ business community. We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Accounting & Finance Data Analyst to join our Finance team in Spain.
The successful candidate will support the day-to-day accounting activities of WTW entities in Spain, ensuring the accuracy of financial records and compliance with local and US GAAP requirements. In addition to traditional accounting responsibilities, the role offers the opportunity to work with modern data analysis, reporting, automation and Artificial Intelligence tools that help improve efficiency and support decision-making across the Finance function.
This position is adecuado for an individual who enjoys working with data, has a strong analytical mindset, and is interested in developing both accounting and digital finance skills within a multinational environment.
Perform day-to-day accounting activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations and general ledger maintenance.
Assist in the preparation of financial statements and supporting schedules in accordance with local and US GAAP requirements.
Ensure the accuracy and completeness of accounting records and financial data.
Support internal and external audit activities by providing documentation and responding to requests.
Assist with balance sheet reconciliations and resolution of outstanding items.
Collaborate with colleagues across Finance and other departments to support business initiatives and reporting requirements.
Support the development and maintenance of automated reports using Excel and Power Query.
Assist with the preparation and maintenance of Power BI dashboards and financial KPI reporting.
Analyse financial and operational data to identify trends, variances and improvement opportunities.
Explore and use Artificial Intelligence tools,
such as Microsoft Copilot and other approved solutions, to improve productivity, reporting quality and data analysis.
Contribute to process improvement and finance automation initiatives.
Work with large volumes of financial data ensuring accuracy, consistency and integrity.
Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
Minimum of 2 years of accounting, finance or financial analysis experience, preferably in a multinational environment.
Good knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
Professional working proficiency in English and Spanish
Proficient in MS-Excel, PowerBI, PowerQuery and Database (mandatory).
Experience with data analysis and reporting tools is desirable.
Proficiency in accounting software – Oracle is preferred.
Demonstrated interest in technology, data analytics and process improvement.
Strong Excel skills, including formulas, lookups, pivot tables and data analysis.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
Good knowledge of Power Query and Power BI or other reporting and visualization tools.
Familiarity with Artificial Intelligence tools such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT or similar technologies.
Understanding of how automation and AI can support finance and accounting processes.
Basic SQL or database knowledge.
Permanent full-time contract.
