For one of our key clients, we are looking for an experienced
Scientific Data Engineer
to join a strategic initiative focused on enabling scientific teams to better manage, process, and exploit laboratory data through innovative data solutions and automation.

Scientific Data Engineer

Barcelona (Hybrid, 2-3 days per week onsite)

Start Date:
December 1st

Duration:
1 year + possible extension

Workload:
40 hours/week

Project Environment

The successful candidate will join the
Scientific Data Platform
, working closely with
Data Science, IT, and Laboratory teams
to develop Python-based solutions that automate scientific processes, transform laboratory data, and create advanced visualizations.

This is a highly collaborative role with direct interaction with scientific stakeholders, combining technical development with business understanding to deliver innovative data solutions within a Pharma/Biotech environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop scientific applications using Python.
- Automate laboratory data processes and workflows.




- Create dashboards and data visualizations.
- Translate scientific requirements into technical solutions.
- Develop prototypes and new platform functionalities.
- Collaborate with Data Science, IT, and Laboratory teams.

Required Skills
- 5+ years of Python development experience.
- 3-5 years working with scientific or laboratory data.
- Experience with dashboards and data visualization.
- Strong knowledge of Databricks and Jira.
- Experience in Pharma or Biotech environments.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Fluent English.

Nice to Have
- Degree in Life Sciences.
- Experience with scientific data platforms and laboratory workflows.
- Background working in cross-functional scientific environments.
