In this role you will lead technical AI risk assessments and governance across Dow Jones, ensuring responsible and secure use of AI and agentic tools. You’ll collaborate with Engineering, Security, Legal, and Privacy to translate governance requirements into practical controls and reusable assessment methods. The position balances technical scrutiny with business impact, influencing decisions at executive levels while safeguarding journalism quality and trust.

Responsabilidades

- Lead technical AI risk assessments across architectures, data flows, models, and deployment environments
- Assess agentic capabilities and system access, including identity, permissions, and autonomy
- Evaluate changes to approved tools and identify new risks from expansions or new users
- Define and validate technical controls (least privilege, credential protection, data handling, auditability)
- Assess AI-specific security and data risks with Cyber Security and Privacy
- Establish AI evaluation and monitoring requirements for accuracy, reliability, bias and safe behavior
- Build scalable governance processes, templates, and integration patterns




- Conduct vendor assessments, evaluate proofs of concept, and readiness for production
- Support governance across the AI lifecycle, maintaining visibility of owners, risks and approvals
- Provide clear technical advice to committees and translate policy into technical guidance
- Deliver targeted training for teams building or deploying AI

Requisitos principales

- Typically 4 - 7 years of experience in AI/data governance, security architecture, or related fields
- Strong understanding of LLMs, retrieval-augmented generation, AI agents and tool calling
- Ability to review architecture diagrams, API docs, access policies, and logs with engineers
- Proficiency in Python or similar scripting xkdbapo language for integrations and control checks
- Working knowledge of cloud architectures, IAM, secrets management, security and data protection
- Experience translating risk/policy requirements into implementable controls
- Clear communication of technical findings to business leaders and cross-functional teams
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Information Security or related field, or equivalent experience
