We are looking for an Accountant to join our office in Madrid.
Your role is to support the accounting and finance requirements of our Spain & UK operations. You will be the primary point of contact for our Spain/UK locations on accounting matters and would coordinate closely between HBA US & Philippines accounting offices, as well as local tax/accounting consultants.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate day-to-day accounting and finance requirements for the Spain office with the UK Admin team and the accounting office in the USA/Philippines.
- Serve as the local point of contact for accounting-related matters in Spain, ensuring requests and documentation are communicated accurately and addressed in a timely manner.
- Review, organize, and translate Spanish accounting, tax, banking, payroll, and other financial documents into English as needed for processing and review by the Finance team.
- Coordinate with the local Spanish tax/accounting consultant regarding statutory accounting requirements, tax filings, compliance matters, and other local finance requirements.
- Provide the USA/Philippines accounting team with the information and supporting documentation required to maintain the company's accounting records.
- Assist in reconciling local accounting and statutory information with Group accounting records and reporting requirements.
- Follow up with internal teams and external consultants to resolve accounting discrepancies, outstanding documentation, and compliance matters.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities and provide information required for statutory accounts, tax filings, and audits.
- Ensure that local accounting and tax deadlines are communicated to the appropriate finance teams and that required information is submitted on time.
