This is a chance to join a team that is driving innovation in power systems, making them more efficient, stable and sustainable for generations to come.As a Project Planning and Controls Specialist, you’ll join a team driving excellence in power quality systems—mastering planning, scheduling, tendering, and execution. This role integrates cost control and resource optimization to ensure flawless project delivery.How You'll Make an Impact- Lead power system studies and dynamic simulations for complex HVDC transmission projects.- Drive technical decisions related to control strategies, system performance and engineering solutions throughout project execution.- Act as a technical reference within project teams, supporting and mentoring less experienced engineers when required.- Participate in customer discussions, technical reviews, Factory System Tests and selected commissioning activities worldwide.- Collaborate with multidisciplinary international teams to ensure safe,
reliable and cost-effective project delivery.- Contribute to the continuous development of engineering practices while helping build and grow the new Spanish engineering team.Your Background- Bachelor's, Master's or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, Engineering Physics or a related discipline.- Solid experience in power system studies, HVDC, FACTS, grid integration or similar complex electrical engineering environments.- Strong knowledge of simulation tools such as PSCAD, PSSE, DIgSILENT PowerFactory, Matlab, ETAP or equivalent.- Proven ability to work independently, lead technical activities and manage complex engineering challenges.- Fluent English is required; Spanish is highly valued and Swedish would be an advantage.- Strong communication, collaboration and leadership skills, with a proactive approach and the ability to influence technical decisions within international project teams.About UsHitachi Energy is a integral technology leader advancing a sustainable energy future for all.
