Photonics Test & Validation Engineer – Europe

GS Group are partnered with a photonics business developing advanced optical switching products and are looking for a Photonics Test & Validation Engineer to join their growing team.

Responsibilities
- Characterise, validate and optimise the performance of advanced photonic switching products.
- Develop and implement automated test methodologies for optical performance evaluation.
- Define system-level requirements, specifications and validation strategies.
- Drive product testing, verification and qualification from prototype development through to volume production.
- Analyse test data, troubleshoot performance issues and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate closely with R&D;, engineering teams,



customers and external partners to ensure product performance.

Experience
- Experience in photonics, optics, optical systems or photonic integrated circuits.
- Strong background in optical testing, characterisation and performance validation.
- Experience developing test methodologies, test setups and validation procedures.
- Knowledge of test automation, instrumentation and data analysis.
- Understanding of system-level requirements, product verification and qualification.
