In this role, you lead a globally distributed software R&D; team building SaaS-based applications, data pipelines, and integrations that connect laboratory instruments, service workflows, and enterprise systems. You’ll partner with product, architecture, quality, and operations to translate strategy into executable plans, while shaping product delivery and operational excellence. You’ll balance new development with sustaining engineering and incident response, driving measurable customer impact. The opportunity combines leadership, technical influence, and cross-functional collaboration to advance Agilent’s digital services.

Responsabilidades

- Manage operations, priorities, staffing, and delivery for an assigned software R&D; team
- Provide direct people leadership, coaching, performance management, and career development for engineers and contractors
- Partner with product management, architecture, quality, SRE, support, IT, marketing, and other stakeholders to align plans with business objectives
- Lead development and delivery for SaaS-based apps, analytics, monitoring, data pipelines, integrations, and enterprise software capabilities
- Support new product development and sustaining engineering, including participation in production incident triage and follow-up
- Establish team operating practices to improve planning, execution, quality, communication, and cross-functional coordination
- Identify delivery risks and drive mitigation,

- Conduct and collaborate on R&D; efforts relevant to long-term product and technology objectives
- Support technical decision-making in cloud-native architectures, data-centric systems, APIs, enterprise integrations, observability, cybersecurity, and operational readiness
- Drive agile planning, prioritization, backlog alignment, and coordination across globally distributed teams
- Build a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, engineering excellence, and customer impact

Requisitos principales

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 2 years of leadership experience in people, projects, or technical delivery teams
- Experience leading software development or technical delivery in SaaS, enterprise applications, analytics, monitoring, data platforms, or related digital products
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle practices, agile delivery, release planning, sustaining support, and cross-functional product development
- Proven ability to manage priorities, resolve ambiguity, develop people, and maintain execution focus in a globally distributed team
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills with technical and non-technical audiences
