Offer Description
Would you like a job in which your talent really has an impact on your surroundings? The UOC is not simply a university: our institution is dynamic, determined and ambitious, and drives social and educational changes. Over 30 years ago, we made history as the world's first online university. Our goal is to generate, transfer and join together knowledge to build a more critical, responsible and non-conforming society.
We are seeking to recruit a Project Support Technician for the Research Centre in the Futures of Education in the Digital Age (UOC-FuturEd), part of the UOC's Edul@b research group.
The project's main objective is to ensure the wellbeing of students and educators in digital education environments. This policy experimentation project was created to address the lack of understanding, strategy, and institutional coordination in this field. Through research, evaluation, and policy mapping regarding digital wellbeing, we gather scientific evidence, design solutions, and conduct experiments to refine and implement systemic policy changes. Thus, the project defines the Digital Wellbeing Framework, which integrates: Person-specific factors, including digital skills and health considerations; Context-specific factors, involving the educational environment, learning design, and school culture; Device-specific factors, relating to the types of digital devices and best practices for safe and balanced use.
Responsibilities
- Addressing the needs of the project's data collection pilot implementation.
The contract will be fixed-term until February 2028, on a part-time basis (50%). We will agree upon a start date once the recruitment process is completed.
