An international manufacturing company is looking for a Demand & Inventory Planner to lead demand forecasting and inventory planning across a complex product portfolio of more than 5,000 active finished product SKUs.

You will play a key role in connecting commercial demand with inventory, production and purchasing plans. The position involves working with intermittent demand, predominantly make-to-order products, varied supplier lead times and a large number of components and raw materials.
What will you do?
Demand planning
Develop and maintain SKU-level demand forecasts using historical data, trends, seasonality and product life cycle information.
Work with Sales and other teams to build and assess alternative demand scenarios, including customer plans and programmes.
Monitor forecast accuracy and use the results to improve planning decisions.
Define how customer orders and plans consume the forecast.
Inventory planning
Classify the product portfolio and help define target service levels with Sales and Purchasing.
Set inventory planning parameters, including safety stock, reorder points and maximum stock levels.
Build medium and long-term inventory projections and assess risks such as obsolescence or excess stock.
Work with Finance to balance product availability and inventory investment.
You will also contribute to production and purchasing planning, reporting, data quality and the company’s S&OP; processes. The role works closely with Sales, Customer Service, Production, Purchasing, Finance and IT/Data teams.
What are we looking for?
A degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Economics, Mathematics or a related field. Further training in Supply Chain or Data Analytics is an advantage.
Around 3–5 years of experience in demand and inventory planning, ideally in a manufacturing environment.
Experience developing or improving demand and inventory planning processes and managing a large, complex SKU portfolio.
Knowledge of statistical forecasting methods, inventory control and end-to-end supply chain planning.
Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP and planning tools. Knowledge of Power BI, Tableau or AI applications in forecasting is an advantage.
Strong analytical skills, sound judgement and the ability to work with stakeholders across different functions.
