The operator can run most machines in the shop and contribute to production goals.
Responsibilities include operating drill presses, lathes, mills, CNC machines;
reading blueprints and diagrams;
calculating feeds and speeds;
inspecting parts with micrometers and xhfqzwm calipers;
possibly programming machines;
working independently or with the Lead to complete jobs on schedule.
