Managing Director, Northern Europe - Enterprise Agentic AI

The company
Our client is one of the fastest scaling enterprise AI companies in Europe. Their platform is live in production inside some of the largest regulated enterprises in the world, automating complex customer and operational workflows with measurable financial results. They pair a leading AI platform with senior local teams embedded alongside clients, taking deployments from signature to live results in weeks rather than months. They are backed by top tier general investors, are well capitalised, and already operate across multiple markets in the region.
The role
The Managing Director, Northern Europe will lead the company's largest and most strategically important region. It spans mature enterprise markets such as the UK, DACH and the Netherlands alongside high potential growth markets across the Nordics and the Baltics.
This is a senior commercial and leadership role. It owns regional strategy, regional revenue, the most important enterprise relationships, and the leadership of country teams across the region. The role reports directly to core leadership and will be the senior face of the company across Northern Europe, trusted by client boards, investors and partners alike.
Key responsibilities of the Managing Director, Northern Europe - Enterprise AI :
Regional leadership
Define and execute the growth strategy for Northern Europe, balancing scale in established markets with expansion into new ones
Own regional revenue, pipeline, forecasting and commercial performance
Lead,



develop and hold accountable country leadership across the region
Set priorities for sectors, accounts and market entry, and allocate resources accordingly
Build the company's brand and reputation across the regional enterprise and AI ecosystem
Personally lead and close the largest, most strategic deals in the region
Build board and executive relationships with major banks, insurers, telecommunications providers, utilities, healthcare groups and other regulated enterprises
Structure complex, multi year partnerships across business, technology, procurement, risk and compliance stakeholders
Turn early client wins into expanding, multi use case and multi country programmes
Pursue regional and pan European deals with enterprises operating across several markets
Organisation building
Scale the regional organisation across enterprise sales, deployment and client success
Recruit senior talent into new and existing markets
Work closely with technical leadership and central product teams so every signed deal becomes a live reference
Set the culture, standards and operating rhythm for a high performing, fast growing region
Ecosystem and partnerships
Represent the company at senior industry forums, with regulators where relevant, and at executive events
Success in the first 12 months
A clear regional strategy and market prioritisation agreed with the CEO within the first 90 days
Accelerated revenue growth across the UK, DACH, Netherlands Baltics and Nordics




Flagship enterprise clients signed and live in the Nordics and the Baltics
At least one major multi country enterprise programme secured
A strong, well led country leadership team in place across the region
Recognised market presence and credibility across Northern Europe
Candidate profile:
A senior commercial leader with a proven record of building and scaling enterprise business across multiple Northern European markets
Experience leading a region or multi country business with country leaders reporting in
A strong track record of carrying and exceeding a significant regional revenue number, ideally in AI, SaaS, cloud or technology services
Established board and executive relationships within regulated industries, particularly financial services, insurance, telecommunications or utilities
Deep understanding of the differences in buying culture, procurement and regulation across the UK, DACH, Benelux and the Nordics
Experience leading complex enterprise sales cycles with long, multi stakeholder decision processes
Credibility and a clear point of view on AI and its commercial impact on operating models
The resilience, pace and appetite to thrive in a hypergrowth environment
Highly desirable
Fluency in German, alongside business level English;
Dutch or a Nordic language is also valuable
Experience opening or scaling a region for a high growth technology business
A background as a strategy consulting partner or principal who has personally originated major client work and moved into an operating role
Understanding of European AI regulation and its implications for enterprise buyers
Existing relationships with hyperscalers, consultancies or systems integrators across the region
A builder who wants ownership, not a territory to manage
Strategically sharp and commercially relentless
