A leading global financial institution is undertaking a strategic renewal of its core FX pricing and trading infrastructure. As part of this multi-year transformation, they are seeking an experienced Java Developer to join the Price & Distribution squad, working on mission-critical systems that power FX Options pricing and general trading operations.This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong developer with capital markets exposure to contribute to high-impact, low-latency systems in an Agile, cross-functional environment.About the RoleYou will be embedded in a global core infrastructure team responsible for the design, development, and enhancement of FX Options pricing platforms. Working closely with traders, quants, product owners, and infrastructure engineers, you will help modernise legacy systems while ensuring stability, performance, and scalability of production services.Talan+2Key responsibilities include:Developing and maintaining core Java services for pricing, distribution, and trading workflowsWriting clean, testable code with strong design patterns and SOLID principlesParticipating in manual testing, functional analysis, production support,
and incident resolutionWorking across the full SDLC—from requirements gathering through to deployment and monitoringMust-Have Skills & Experience5+ years of professional Java development experience (Java 8 or higher)Strong knowledge of Oracle and/or MySQL databasesHands-on experience with Unix/Linux environmentsProficiency with Maven, Jenkins, and Git for CI/CD pipelinesSolid understanding of clean code, design patterns, and object-oriented principlesB2+ English (written and spoken) with strong communication and stakeholder management skillsExperience working in Agile/Scrum teams using Jira and ConfluenceFamiliarity with messaging and integration technologies: JMS, SOAP, REST, JSON/XMLTesting expertise: JUnit, Mockito, and automated testing practicesCapital Markets and/or FX domain knowledge (pricing, trading, or eTrading systems)Comfortable in a cross-functional environment, taking ownership across development, testing, analysis, and supportStrong problem-solving skills, analytical mindset, and ability to self-organise and prioritise effectivelyExperience with FIX protocol for API integration in trading or financial systemsExposure to TIBCO (widely used in the project, though rare in the market)Knowledge of Apache Velocity, Python, or Spring BootCloud experience: AWS, OpenShift, or GitHub ActionsFamiliarity with ORM/JPA, OAuth 2.0, and modern REST API designBackground in automated testing frameworks and DevOps practicesLocation & Working ModelLocation: Madrid, Spain (onsite or hybrid, depending on team policy)Language: English B2+ required; Spanish is a plus#J-18808-Ljbffr
