This role is responsible for designing, developing and validating mechanical solutions for additive manufacturing systems. As part of the Mechanical Engineering R&D; organization within the Additive Manufacturing business, the engineer contributes to the development of complex mechanical systems, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative, reliable and manufacturable solutions across Polymer and Metal technologies.
The role requires strong engineering fundamentals, sound technical judgment, and the ability to independently drive subsystem development while collaborating across functions to balance performance, quality, cost and schedule.
Perform engineering analyses, tolerance stack-ups and design trade-off studies to support technical decisions.
Drive root cause analysis and implement robust engineering solutions based on test data and analytical reasoning.
Lead technical discussions and design reviews within the project team.
Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering methodologies, design practices and development processes.
Provide technical guidance and knowledge sharing to junior engineers and peers.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline.
Typically 5-8 years of experience in mechanical product development, preferably within complex electromechanical systems or industrial equipment.
Experience taking products or subsystems from concept through validation and release into production.

Experience leveraging AI-assisted tools to improve engineering productivity, technical documentation, data analysis or software development workflows.
Influences technical decisions within the project team, contributes to engineering best practices, and may lead technical activities for defined workstreams while collaborating across multiple engineering disciplines.
Works independently on complex engineering assignments requiring sound technical judgment and effective prioritization. Work in a global organization with colleagues from 60+ nationalities, collaborating across cultures and geographies.
