As a Database Administrator, you will be responsible for the administration, optimization, security, and reliability of enterprise database environments supporting business-critical applications and services. The successful candidate will manage Oracle and PostgreSQL platforms, ensuring high availability, performance tuning, backup and recovery, replication management, and proactive monitoring. You will work closely with infrastructure, development, and operations teams to implement database best practices and support business growth. The role requires strong Linux administration skills, automation capabilities, and hands‑on experience with Oracle GoldenGate replication technologies.

Key Responsibilities
Administer and maintain Oracle and PostgreSQL database environments.
Monitor database performance, availability, and capacity to ensure optimal operation.
Manage database installation, configuration, upgrades, patching, and migrations.
Design and implement backup, recovery, and disaster recovery solutions.
Configure and support Oracle GoldenGate replication environments.
Perform database performance tuning and optimization activities.
Troubleshoot complex database, replication, and infrastructure issues.
Develop automation scripts to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual tasks.
Manage database security, access controls, and compliance requirements.
Support database high-availability initiatives and business continuity planning.
Collaborate with development teams on database design and performance optimization.
Document database configurations, procedures, and operational standards.
Ensure database environments meet enterprise availability and reliability requirements.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems,



or a related discipline.
Proven experience as an Oracle Database Administrator.
Strong hands‑on experience administering PostgreSQL database environments.
Expertise in Oracle GoldenGate replication technologies.
Strong Linux system administration skills.
Experience developing Shell scripts for automation and operational support.
Knowledge of database backup, recovery, replication, and disaster recovery strategies.
Experience monitoring and optimizing database performance in production environments.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
Excellent documentation, communication, and collaboration skills.
Nice-to-Have Skills
Experience supporting large-scale enterprise database infrastructures.
Knowledge of cloud database technologies and hybrid cloud environments.
Experience with database automation and Infrastructure as Code practices.
