This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Interested applicants must follow the directions in the "How to Apply" section of this flyer to be considered. There may or may not be vigente vacancies filled from this flyer. Duties
Help
- You will serve as the technical expert in specialized areas related to environmental, occupational safety, and health issues.
- You will provide guidance to personnel on environmental, occupational safety, and health policies and procedures in the effective implementation of environmental, safety, and health oversight functions.
- You will research and implement the latest changes/developments in environmental, safety, and health laws and regulations.
- You will manage specialized occupational, safety, and health programs including Confined Space, Respiratory Protection, Fall Protection, Ergonomics, Fire Warden, Traffic Safety, Medical Surveillance, Energy Control,
and Recreational Off-Duty Safety.
- You will certify as a Navy Competent Person to support the Gas Free Program.
- You will conduct risk assessments of tasks assigned and use the principles of Operational Risk Management in determining and evaluating hazards.
- You will manage the hazard abatement program including identifying hazards, coordinating abatement, assigning Risk Assessment Codes (RACs), and documenting and communicating identified hazards.
- You will ensure compliance with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Act.
- You will provide recommendations to management regarding substantive program changes or alternative courses of action to resolve occupational health and safety problems.
- You will identify undesirable safety and health trends and recommend corrective action.
- You will manage the safety database, input new employees and assign required training
