In this role you will help build and scale Rover's booking experience, making it fast and intuitive for pet parents to find sitters. Own end-to-end project delivery from understanding the business need to design, ship, and monitor in production

Develop and maintain backend services with a focus on code quality, testability, and maintainability

7+ years of professional software engineering experience with a track record of delivering backend systems
Strong backend experience with Python and Django (or equivalent languages, e.g., Java, Go, C#, Kotlin)
Relational databases knowledge: design, migrations, query optimization
Strong testing discipline with automated testing (unit, integration, contract)
Ability to work across the stack and collaborate with frontend engineers when needed
