JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Summary:
Leads the daily management and supervision of the respiratory care staff, both clinically and administratively. Performs clinical duties including patient assessment, ventilator management, diagnostic evaluation and other respiratory care as needed. Acts as an expert clinician who demonstrates a high level of knowledge/expertise, and is a leader/resource to the healthcare team.



Recommends/coordinates scheduling of work assignments and daily priorities of staff.
Job Requirements:
Education and Work Experience:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent (some certifications will require Bachelor's): Preferred
Master's Degree: Preferred
Five years' technical experience with specialized knowledge in PICC, Peds, and/or NICU: Preferred
Two years' leadership experience: Preferred

Licenses/Certifications:
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential and Respiratory Care Practitioner(RCP) license: Required in CA
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Preferred
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Preferred
