ROC Technical Lead – Wind Remote Operations
Job Description Summary
As a ROC Technical Lead, you support the safe and efficient operation of advanced offshore wind assets from a remote operations center in Barcelona, Spain. You play a key role across both commissioning and service phases, helping ensure turbines perform reliably throughout their lifecycle.
What you'll do
- Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions
- Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics and troubleshooting
- Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance
- Escalate complex issues with clear and structured technical information
- Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems
- Analyse operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvement opportunities
- Support reporting and communication of technical findings
- Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation
- Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance




- Work on a rotating weekday shift schedule with occasional on‐call support during weekends and public holidays

What you bring
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, or equivalent experience in the wind energy sector
- Hands‐on experience with wind turbines or similar electromechanical systems in operational environments
- Ability to read electrical schematics and apply them in troubleshooting and field support situations
- Experience with SCADA systems and other digital monitoring tools
- Strong analytical and problem‐solving skills with clear technical communication, calm structured approach under pressure, and a collaborative, proactive mindset
- Availability to travel up to 20% of the time, if required
- Fluent English (spoken and written), willingness to relocate to Barcelona and EU work eligibility
