An Application Support Developer is a hybrid role responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and enhancing existing software applications while providing 2nd/3rd line technical support. They resolve complex incidents, automate workflows, and deploy updates, bridging the gap between operational support and development to ensure system stability and performance. This role can be performed hybrid from Barcelona or Warsaw, or fully remotely within either country.
Technical Support & Troubleshooting: Provide 2nd/3rd line support, diagnosing and resolving complex application issues, bugs, and performance bottlenecks.
Maintain, debug, and improve existing applications, often writing code to resolve issues or add minor features.
Monitoring & Optimization: Proactively monitor application performance, ensuring high availability, and optimizing systems for better performance.
Release Management: Support deployment, release cycles, and environment management.
Maintain technical documentation, knowledge bases, and support guides.
Programming Languages: Proficiency in languages such as Java,
Python, JavaScript, PHP, or .NET.
Database Knowledge: Strong SQL skills for querying, debugging, and managing databases.
Experience with Windows, UNIX/Solaris, and IIS.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with a focus on root cause analysis.
Experience: Previous experience in application support or software development.
Excellent communication for stakeholder management, and the ability to work in Agile, ITIL-driven environments.
Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, or a related field.
