Take vital signs, height and weight, intake and output, pulse oximetry, and collect specimensCollect laboratory samples and perform lab testing in accordance with established policies and procedures, as well as COLA and CLIA regulationsAssist with patient activities and care as assigned by the charge nurse/designee as indicated by the patient’s plan of careProvide for superficial wound careProvide for patient safety related to age and conditionMaintain patient privacy and confidentiality of information and records at all timesProvide and maintain a clean,



safe environment and perform and/or assist others to perform proper aseptic technique, isolation procedures, and infection control measuresAssist with the admission, transfer, and discharge of the patientSafe handling of food preparation for patientsOther Job Functions Prepare patients and chaperone during examinations/procedures or assists with other patient treatmentsMaintain patient care areas with appropriate suppliesAssist with patient restraints and maintain precautions; collect, report and document data related to patient needs/emergencies and unusual patient and family behaviorTravel to all facility locations as requiredAttend staff meetings or other company sponsored or mandated meetings as requiredLead Tech responsibilitiesAssist with maintaining staff schedule and adequate staffing levels for the Emergency Technician and Patient Care Assistant roles within the assigned facilityAssist Hospital Administrator with Patient Safety AuditsAssist with the onboarding of new Emergency Room Technicians and Patient Care Assistants as neededResponsible for, in conjunction with Hospital Administrators and Market Leadership, ordering hospital/clinical supplies, receiving hospital/clinical supplies and maintaining ENVY systemResponsible for, in conjunction with Hospital Administrators and Market Leadership, Supply, Purchase Order and Missed Items trackingResponsible for being the liaison between the facility and Linen agencyBasic Qualifications High School Diploma or GED and completion of one of the following: Completion of Medical Corpsman program and one year of applicable experience (or)Completion of EMT-B, EMT-I, EMT-P course/program and one year of applicable experience (or)Completion of the first year of education and current enrollment in an accredited School of Nursing and one year of applicable experience (or)2+ years of emergency room experience as an ER Technician or hospital equivalent experienceCurrent BLS required; ACLS and PALS certification, preferredExperience with IV start, phlebotomy, and initiation of EKG, preferredPosition requires fluency in English; written and oral communication#J-18808-Ljbffr
