Join Our Growing Team as an Internal Medicine Specialist at Southpaws
Southpaws Specialty, Emergency & Referral Hospital – Melbourne, Australia
Full Time
As Southpaws continues to grow across our Melbourne locations, we're excited to grow Internal Medicine as a core part of our multidisciplinary team. We’re seeking expressions of interest from a Board-certified Internal Medicine Specialist or Residency-trained Registrar who shares our vision of excellence, genuine collaboration, and delivering patient-first care.
This isn’t just a job, it’s an opportunity to build a new service within a thriving, well-established specialist hospital group. You won’t be on your own. You’ll join a culture of teamwork, with the support to shape and grow a dedicated medicine team.
Why Join Southpaws?
At Southpaws, we believe in care. Care for our patients, care for our clients, and care for our team. We're redefining the veterinary workplace with a focus on purpose, progression, and people.
We grow with you:

Structured career development pathways and mentorship to support your evolution both clinically and financially
We care about connection: Monthly social initiatives, values-led leadership, and a team culture built on support and mutual respect
We collaborate across disciplines: Medicine, surgery, anaesthesia, and ECC all work closely together
We’re building a team—not filling a role: We’re committed to recruiting multiple medicine clinicians to create a supportive, sustainable department
An Evolving Multidisciplinary Hospital Group
With Southpaws’ long history of surgical innovation, our approach continues to evolve—now encompassing on-site specialist Anaesthesia and Emergency & Critical Care services. The next chapter in that evolution of a full-service Internal Medicine department, and we're ready to invest in building that with the right team.
This is your chance to shape a modern, progressive medicine service in a hospital that’s committed to pushing the boundaries
