Essential Responsibilities

- Provide Fleet Technical Assistance (FTA) to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve casualties involving AN/SPY-1 radar and associated combat systems
- Perform on-site (OS) and distant support (DS) for U.S. Navy ships and shore-based OCONUS activities




- Conduct maintenance, installation, testing, and repair of radar systems, including Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD) and auxiliary equipment
- Execute advanced fault isolation within radar subsystems, including Signal Processor (SIGPRO) components
- Analyze radar performance and provide recommendations on clutter mitigation and environmental impacts
- Support System/Equipment Assessments (e.g., TSRA, INSURV, ICMP, BMDRAs, Combat Systems Assessments)
- Assist with logistics support, including validation of Allowance Parts Lists (APLs) and identification of required components
- Provide on-the-job training (OJT) and technical guidance to ship's force personnel
- Document findings using Navy systems (e.g., MFOM/NMD, FTS) and prepare formal reports/debriefs in accordance with JFMM standards
