Job Summary
This position is responsible for following established procedures and protocols. Technologist performs diagnostic radiographic procedures to assist in the diagnosis of disease and injuries. The scope of the position includes explaining procedure to the patients, accurately operating all imaging equipment, demonstrating clinical and age specific competencies in performing all diagnostic procedures and selecting accurate technical factors for optimal image quality. Technologist is responsible for practicing radiation safety in the operations of radiation-emitting equipment. Technologist demonstrates the ability to review images for interpretation.

Reports To: Imaging Manager Classification: Non-exempt Qualifications Technologist must be registered and in good standing with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT). LA State license. Maintains BLS certification. OCCUPATIONAL EXPOSURE Category I exposure to bloodborne pathogens, frequent exposure to chemical hazards and may encounter radiation hazards.
