We're looking for a Senior Underwriter, Professional Indemnity, to join our team in Spain on a permanent basis.
Working closely with brokers, customers and colleagues across Europe, you will play an important role in shaping underwriting strategy, strengthening market relationships and delivering sustainable portfolio performance.
As a Senior Underwriter, you'll be responsible for underwriting complex Professional Indemnity risks within delegated authority, ensuring strong portfolio performance and alignment with business objectives. You'll utilise your analytical and technical expertise to assess opportunities, manage portfolio performance and support business planning activities. Alongside day-to-day underwriting responsibilities, you'll contribute to portfolio reviews, market analysis and the continuous development of underwriting best practice.
Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory and internal underwriting requirements
Review and analyse portfolio performance, identifying risks and opportunities




Maintain accurate underwriting and exposure data within QBE systems
You'll be an experienced Professional Indemnity underwriter with strong technical expertise and a proven ability to manage complex risks within a commercial insurance environment. Significant underwriting experience within Professional Indemnity or Financial Lines insurance
Commercial awareness and understanding of insurance market dynamics
Knowledge of relevant legal and regulatory requirements
Experience using underwriting systems and Microsoft Office applications, including Excel
